How to manually add a user to Wordpress

Very useful confirmation of how to manually add an admin user to WordPress rather than using to WordPress admin area to add the user.

It's unusual that you might want to do this, but I was asked to take over administration of a new clients' web site, and they did not have any admin login details for WordPress.  They only had login details for a user with the "editor" role.

I'd realised I could add a user to the database via phpMyAdmin, but I wasn't sure how many details I needed to put into the database.  The above post gave me all I needed to know.
