Online Dispute Resolution - what you need to know

If the answer to the above question is yes then from later this year you will need to know about the new EU regulations.

From 15 February 2016 an online traders web site must display a link to the European wide Online Dispute Resolution Service. The ODR platform allows consumers who have a complaint about a product or service bought online to submit the complaint via an online complaint form to a trader based in another European country.

If you fail to comply you may be subject to enforcement action by Trading Standards, though we expect that in the first instance they will simply ask you to put the required link on yoiur web site.
